 The BET Awards nominees were announced earlier today and for the Best International – African Act category, Wizkid & Yemi Alade are flying the flag for Nigeria.
They are nominated alongside other acts like: AKA (South Africa), Sarkodie (Ghana), Fally Ipupa (Congo), The Soil (South Africa) and Stonebwoy (Ghana).

This is Yemi Alade’s first nomination and she took to her Instagram to announce the news to her fans, writing excitedly

We hope whoever wins this year’s Best International African Act Award receives their award live during the show, unlike past years when winners like Ice Prince not only received his award backstage, but also recorded his thank you speech in front of empty audience, a speech that was not aired during the US airing of the awards.
